7Digital to sell Warner Music Digital Tracks in DRM-free Format

7digital and Warner Music Logo One more major music label has joined the DRM-free bandwagon. London-based online music store 7Digital has signed a contract with Warner Music International to sell the music company’s catalog in the rights-free format across Europe.

Consumers in the UK, France, Ireland, Germany and Spain will now be able to download music from Warner Music International in MP3 format via 7digital.

This means that Warner’s music bought from 7digital will be able to be played on any MP3 media player.

It is known that music albums will be priced at £5 in the UK and €6.99 across the rest of Europe. Individual Warner music tracks will be priced at £0.79/€0.99 per track.

Many news reports also say that Warner has entered into a deal with Amazon in the US that will enable customers to buy Warner Music tracks in the MP3 format.
