MySpace plays host to ‘Prom Queen’

MySpace Logo and Prom Queen Logo Social networking Web site, MySpace has announced a partnership with Michael Eisner. Under this partnership, MySpace will debut ‘Prom Queen’, the serialized mystery serial produced by Michael Eisner’s new and independent production studio Vuguru.

Prom Queen is a short-form series that has been set against the final two moths of the high school year. This short-form series has over 80 episodes in its vault, with each running at 90 seconds long. The MySpace Video channel and show profile page will spotlight exclusive series content such as character profiles, behind-the-scenes video footage, character diaries and storyline secrets.

Prom Queen will make its appearance on MySpace before any other place on the Internet. Each episode will launch on Prom Queen’s official MySpace profile twelve hours before being released on any other web site.

According to Chris DeWolfe, CEO and co-founder of MySpace, “Prom Queen has the potential to be a break-out hit on MySpace. Video is a cultural cornerstone for the MySpace community- it’s a huge part of how our users express themselves and discover pop culture. We have become a primary destination for online viewers and with exclusive content like Prom Queen, more and more eyeballs are coming to MySpace Video.

Prom Queen will debut on MySpace on April 1, 2007 at 7pm EST.
