‘Jeopardy! Google Daily Challenge’ based on hit TV Show launched

Popular television show Jeopardy! Has teamed up with search engine giant Google for the launch of a new contest named Jeopardy! Google Daily Challenge.

Starting from Friday this week, viewers who log on to Jeopardy.com will find an additional clue/answer drawn from one of the featured categories from that day’s broadcast.

Viewers would then be required to use Google’s search application to find the correct answer.

Online participants will then be entered into a sweepstake for a chance to win the daily $100 prize or the $25,000 grand prize.

The Jeopardy! Contest runs from this Friday through July 13, 2007. The two parties involved namely Google and Jeopardy! are expected to reveal a new clue everyday.

What’s more; So that you don’t forget to take the challenge every week, you can also add the Jeopardy! Google Daily Challenge gadget to your iGoogle page.

This online contest was made possible through collaboration between Sony Pictures television and Google.

Jeopardy! executive producer Harry Friedman said, “Jeopardy! and Google are the perfect complement to each other. America’s top-rated quiz show provides the answers, and the Web’s No.1 search engine helps you find the correct question.
