“The Minisode Network” launched by MySpace Video and Sony
MySpace has debuted The Minisode Network together with Sony Pictures. As part of this service, a selection of episodes from the Sony Pictures Television library will be available as a three to five minute “minisode”.
Each minisode which is a condensed version of the actual episode retains the full story arc of the original episode in question, assures Sony.
Chris DeWolfe, CEO, MySpace said, “Now MySpace users can discover classic TV shows in a stylized, modern format. Teaming with Sony to debut The Minisode Network exclusively on MySpace gives our millions of users yet another reason to make MySpace Video a daily destination.”
Besides, new minisodes will be added weekly with over 500 episodes available by the end of 2007.
The exclusive launch sponsor for The Minisode Network on MySpace Video is Honda, who will be featuring their bite-sized Fit car.
MySpace Video’s announcement to debut The Minisode Network is the latest in a series of announcements of upcoming products. Only recently, MySpace announced that it is playing host to Michael Eisner’s “Prom Queen” serial.
