JetBlue Airways to Test In-flight WiFi Service” class=

JetBlue Airways, an American airlines company is said to be planning to run a test by offering limited internet connectivity during flights.

The airline also said that they will not permit web surfing or sending emails with attachments in the flight due to limited bandwidth availability.

JetBlue is in partnership with Research In Motion (RIM) and Yahoo to offer free inflight WiFi service to its passengers.

These services initially will enable email and instant messaging. The airline’s aim is to make a wireless hot spot once it reaches to the cruising altitude. Wifi capabilities will not be available during landing and take off.

The first aircraft with in-flight connectivity services will take off on Dec 11th from Kennedy Airport in New York towards San Fransisco.

The day is not far when all aircrafts will be turned as WiFi hot spots. And passengers will be busy in their work rather than sleeping or doing any other activity such as reading etc.
