Flickr gets Picnik’s Online Image Editing Tools
If you use Yahoo’s renowned online photo sharing service to display your breathtaking photography skills, then here’s some great news for you!
In the latest update issued, users will be allowed to edit individual pictures in their digital albums.
This new enhancement is all thanks to the latest tie-up between Yahoo and online startup Picnik, which has its prowess in the field of web-based digital photo editing. The two companies joined hands in October, while stating that the new features would be released “in coming months”.
Picnik’s services are essentially intended towards a graphical user interface, which works well with web browsers.
To get Picnik show its skill, all you need to do is simply click on the photo edit tab that appears on the photo pages. The only additional step needed is to click on a button to allow Picnik to edit and save changes to any photos stored online.
A more feature-centric version of Picnik’s editing tools is priced at $24.95 a year.
Flickr was acquired by Yahoo in 2005 and the service has the distinction of being the most renowned and widely used online photo sharing service where not only amateurs but even professionals come and share their works, share expertise and comment on other’s works and get some on their own too; in all helping to better your photography skillfulness. In fact, just a few months back, Yahoo shut down Yahoo Photos and directed its users to the Flickr. Well that surely speaks about the popularity of the service.
