Mozilla releases Alpha of Firefox 2.0 Download
On Tuesday, Mozilla began to push forward towards Firefox 2.0 with the launch of Bon Echo Alpha 1, created to give a preview of the company’s upcoming revision to its popular alternative web browser. Something to look forward to in Firefox 2 download will be ‘Places,’ the browser’s enhanced bookmark functionality.
Modifications have also been made to tab browsing, support for SVG, and several bug fixes. Though the release is not recommended for daily use, Mozilla is asking users to download, test, and offer feedback on the build.
In a statement, Mike Schroepfer, vice president of engineering for Mozilla said, “The BonEcho Alpha 1 milestone is the first of many developer milestones on the path to Firefox 2.”
