Photo Sharing Service launched by AT&T and Yahoo!

AT&t Yahoo! Photos AT&T Inc. and Yahoo have jointly announced the launch of the new AT&T Yahoo! Photos, which is a Web-based service designed to make it easier for people to enjoy and share their growing photo collections with family and friends. Additionally, results from a survey, that was commissioned by AT&T Inc. show that the new features of AT&T Yahoo! Photos have arrived at a critical time when digital photo users are demanding a whole lot more from online photo services, which of course includes an easier way to share digital photos with near and dear ones.

So, the new AT&T Yahoo! Photos addresses this demand and offers desktop-like functionality in a Web-based service. The all new AT&T Yahoo! Photos offers you features like photo-tagging or labeling for easy viewing. It also provides Smart Albums or online “play lists” of photos that detect newly tagged photos and automatically recognizes and adds tagged photos to online albums.

The service provided by AT&T and Yahoo, offers deeper integration with leading AT&T Yahoo! Services, such as e-mail and Instant Messenger (IM), amongst a host of other options. Users can also order professional-quality prints online that can be picked up at local stores. Besides, users can also place ship-to-home orders or even order personalized photo gifts via AT&T Yahoo! Photos.

The all new AT&T Yahoo! Photos brings a Web 2.0 experience to AT&T Yahoo! Hight Speed Internet subscribers and features the next generation of Web-based services and social media, enabling people to collaborate and share information online. This service definitely moves beyond the usual static online album structure, and allows for dynamic, flexible and smart photo organization.

The enhanced AT&T Yahoo! Photos allows users to save photos to more than one album. This service extends beyond the PC and reaches to mobile devices as well, such as AT&T Yahoo! Go for Mobile. What’s great is that there is absolutely no software downloaded needed.

The new AT&T Yahoo! Photos is available now and will continue to roll out in the next few weeks to AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet subscribers, who will get a chance to feel a unique broadband experience, which includes virtually unlimited photo and e-mail storage, IM with webcam capabilities, commercial-free Internet radio and a suite of very powerful online security tools.
