Google Buys Measure Map, the Blog Stats Company
Still under the phase of private beta testing, on Tuesday Measure Map announced that it had been purchased by search giant Google. Measure Map’s software offers detailed visitor statistics to blog owners, and Google is expected to incorporate the technology into its Blogger service. Financial terms of the deal were not revealed.
Measure Map developer Jeffrey Veen said, “Today, as the Measure Map team joins Google, our mission remains the same: to build the best possible user experience so people can understand and appreciate the effect their blogs - their words and ideas - can have.” Veen continued, “By opening up the app to more bloggers through Google, we hope to help even more people become passionate about their blogs.”
