Google Book Search logo Google is welcoming publishers from United States and Britain to put forward their books for sale online, and also fix prices that Google would charge customers. The search engine in its program of expanding its much controversial Book Search initiative, has taken this step.

At present the Book Search program makes available a few sentences from digitised books, only allowing full text access to titles out of copyright. However in a little while users will be able to purchase the books for viewing within their web browser, but copying and printing will not be permitted. Google has not mentioned any particular date as to when it would be launching it.
