Yahoo! Has released its new service engine dubbed My Web 2.0, in India. With this latest service, Yahoo users can now save and organise pages, book mark favourites on the internet and also access their search history from any computer.

My Web is a ‘personal and social search engine,’ which enables you to tag web pages and bookmarks on a personalized ‘My Web’ account. Moreover, one can share yahoo search results with others in Yahoo! communities as well.

Speaking about the new offering, George Zacharias, Managing Director, Yahoo! India, said, “Yet another example of Yahoo’s innovative approach, My Web 2.0, dramatically improves the relevance of search results.” Zacharias added, “The Internet is becoming more community-orientated and users want access to trusted information. We see social search as the next phase of web search. My Web helps users tap into the power of communities, using tagging and sharing to improve their search experience.”

My Web 2.0 provides significant feature enhancements to the earlier My Web product based directly on user feedback and include tagging, unidirectional connections, additional sharing controls, enhanced profile personalisation and easy import of web pages.
