itunes videos In its pioneering step towards providing subscription based downloads via its iTunes Music Store, Apple has merged with Comedy Central to offer TV shows on a monthly basis for $9.99. The feature dubbed as ‘Multi-Pass’, will be providing iTunes users with an access to 16 episodes of ‘The Colbert Report’ and ‘The Daily Show with Jon Stewart’.

Once the shows are aired on Comedy Central, customers can download the full show thereafter. As for now, Apple has stayed away from the subscription model, it merely sells individual songs for 99 cents and videos for $1.99. One of the biggest plus point Multi-Pass scores over iTunes competitors is that its downloads do not expire unlike the other typical subscriptions.
