Hands in handcuffs A trick of selling unforgettable mobile numbers on eBay has landed its mastermind, Stephen Day, in Reading Crown Court. He confessed to forging accounts and theft and was arrested thereafter.

Incidentally Stephen Day is also the name of the corporate affairs director of Virgin Mobile’s, but this forger is an entirely different guy altogether. The ‘trickster AKA Vodafone’ Day managed to pass highly popular mobile phone numbers such as 007 007 and the sign of the Beast’s 666 666 to a middleman.

To mask his doings, Day installed false names on his work computer. However, an internal investigation forced Day to confess to the scam.
