McAfee logo McAfee Inc. has announced the new McAfee ServicePortal for enterprise customers. The new portal offers an online support center that delivers precise, appropriate and personalised support information. McAfee ServicePortal is available to customers at: http://mysupport.mcafee.com.

Greg Sanders, director, global online services for McAfee Inc said, “McAfee ServicePortal was designed based on customer feedback asking for a resource that would better provide answers and insight into their technical questions.” Sanders added, “Customers can manage all their service needs through this centralized portal, while choosing the method of support that best meets their requirements.”

McAfee ServicePortal provides a number of methods to resolve support issues. The first is called Self Healing and leverages the McAfee Virtual Technician (MVT) to resolve common issues. MVT is a Web-based tool that determines if McAfee products are installed, updated and working correctly.

Second is Self Service, which employs the concept of “Reading, Seeing and Doing” to help customers. Support through “Reading” includes the McAfee KnowledgeBase, Product Documentation, Frequently Asked Questions and Attack Encyclopedia.

Support by “Seeing” involves product video tutorials, while support by “Doing” encourages customers to visit McAfee’s Global Support Lab for a live demonstration and test environment.

Interactive Support is available to offer customers with an opportunity for submitting and managing Service Requests online. Customers can also chat with a live agent for faster resolution, 24 hours a day, and seven days a week.
