Microsoft on Tuesday announced a new Windows Live Messenger Update to beta testers, reforming the client’s interface and adding a number of new highlights such as incorporation with Windows Live Contacts. The release, numbered 8.0.566, also supports colorization of the entire Messenger window.
At present, Live Messenger remains a private beta test, but Microsoft is luring users to invite as many people as possible, and the company is reportedly accepting new applications within 24 hours through ideas.live.com. Developers aren’t offering a final release date, but say it will occur later this year.
