On Thursday, AOL announced that it will be offering 30 free movies download to users of the AOL Video portal service as a holiday bonanza, for one and only one day on Saturday 2nd December.

AOL plans to give away a wide variety from new movies for download like Spiderman 2 to holiday favorites like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, which normally sell for $9.99 to $19.99 USD. They also have other free movies download like Patriot Games, Jack Frost and few others.

The AOL’s free movies would be delivered in Windows Media format, and require a Windows XP computer running Internet Explorer and Windows Media 10 in order to view them. Once the free movie is downloaded, the user would be able to view the file offline, as well as on one other PC and two Windows Media-compatible portable devices.

But you can’t be too greedy, because each user would be limited to one movie download, and would have 24 hours beginning at 6:00am ET on December 2 to download the entire movie.

So get ready to cheer up your holiday season with the free AOL movies download bonanza.
