Yahoo today introduced http://instant.search.yahoo.com/, a new version of search tool which is still in its beta stages. Yahoo Instant Search pops up results before a user is finished typing in the search bar.

Yahoo Instant Search is now live on Yahoo’s Web site. As a word is being typed into its search bar, it checks if a single, relevant answer is available and then displays them just below the search box, in the form of a “speech bubble.” Providing users with relevant search results quickly is still a problem for search engines, which deliver long lists of web pages that possibly contain the related information.

On its search web blog, Yahoo say’s that words often have multiple meanings, making it difficult for search engines to guess the intent of the searcher. Yahoo Instant Search which is listed on Yahoo’s website of beta projects is an interactive Ajax application. Ajax reduces the need for Web clients to reconnect a Web server each time information is downloaded.

There is a fierce competition among the top search engine companies Google, MSN and Yahoo and are trying to their best to offer more features to entice its user and put down their rivals.
