Sophos Issues Warning for Dropper Trojans Troj/Dropper-BC and Troj/Dropper-BD
Antivirus security group Sophos issues warning to Internet users about two dropper Trojans, Troj/Dropper-BC and Troj/Dropper-BD, that attack the Windows platform.
Sophos revealed that it has received several reports of these Trojans from the wild. Troj/Dropper-BC is also known as Worm.Bagle.BB-gen, while Troj/Dropper-BD is known as Worm.Bagle.BB-gen or W32/Mitglieder.FB. These two Trojans leave non-infected files on the unsuspecting computer.
Troj/Dropper-BC creates and attempts to execute the file \gfgdgfddfgdfgwe.exe, while Troj/Dropper-BD creates and attempts to execute the file \gfgdgfd.exe. Sophos also mentioned that these two files are corrupt and will not run at all.
Sophos has introduced the Troj/Dropper-BC virus identity file (IDE), which will also includes detection for Troj/Protux-A, Troj/Paprox-A and Troj/KeyLogg-H.
