Sophos issues Warning for Mass-Mailing Worm W32/Bagle-CR

Security group SophosInternet Security group Sophos has issused warning to Internet users about W32/Bagle-CR, a internet mass-mailing worm for the Windows platform.

Sophos says it has received several reports of this worm from the wild off late.

W32/Bagle-CR installs and runs files detected as Troj/BagleDl-R and Troj/BagleDl-S in order to download the main component of the computer worm.

This Win32 worm installs itself in the Windows Registry and sends itself to email addresses found on the infected computer.

Sophos has come out with a virus identity (IDE) file that protects PCs from the W32/Bagle-CR computer worm.
