We had reported about Asus’ debut TUF Series motherboard namely Sabertooth 55i just last month. And guess what, users in India with heavy computing demands can look forward to this most recent introduction by Asus. The company recently got the wraps off its new Sabertooth 55i TUF series motherboard. Claimed to be the premier TUF series unit, this new motherboard boasts of superior utility, advanced stability and high durability.

This debut Sabertooth 55i model has been fashioned around a ‘Marine Cool’ concept. It incorporates the Intel P55 Express chipset and extends support to the Intel Turbo Boost technology. Providing users with a fully reliable and stable computing platform, the motherboard is based on the LGA1156 socket for Intel Core i7/Core i5 processors. Enabled for Intel Extreme Memory Profile (XMP), it includes 4 x DIMM, max. 16GB, DDR3 2000/1800/1600/1333/1066MHz and non-ECC, unbuffered memory in a dual channel memory architecture.

Armed with the novel CeraM!X heatsink, even under intense operating conditions, the motherboard allows exceptional cooling to active components and system stability. It’s also enabled for direct memory cooling with affordable CoolMem! fan frame. With military-certified capacitors and MOSFETs, the unit delivers a resilient performance. Incorporated with E.S.P. (Efficient Switching Power) for all major components for superb system efficiency, the device also exhibits efficient power for the CPU and memory.

2 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode), 3 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 (2.5GT/s) and 2 x PCI expansion slots are included in the device. It is compatible to both Nvidia Quad-GPU SLI technology and ATI Quad-GPU CrossFireX technology. Supporting EZ Backup and SuperSpeed functions, the motherboard also includes the JMicron JMB363 SATA & PATA controller and JMicron JMB322 DriveXpert technology. Encompassed with Realtek 8112L PCIe Gigabit LAN controller featuring AI NET2, VIA VT2020 10-channel High Definition Audio CODEC attribute should enhance the audio. The motherboard is around 12 inches x 9.6 inches and sports an ATX form factor.

The Asus Sabertooth 55i is available for Rs. 17700.
