Acer India has rolled out ultra small form factor desktops namely Acer Aspire L5100 and Acer Aspire L3600. Both the desktops are claimed to be designed for household purposes. Besides, they are bundled with a 19-inch TFT display and a new designed keyboard.

The Aspire L3600 is powered by Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor E2140 (1.6 GHz) for high computing power. On the other hand, the Acer Aspire L5100 is powered by AMD Athlon64 X2 4000+ (2.1 GHz) processor.

Also the new desktops are equipped with a system memory of 1GB DDR2 RAM and 160 GB SATA Hard Disk Drive @ 7200 RPM giving high storage capacity to the desktop. The 16X DVD-R/W Super-Multi Drive delivers ease to burn DVDs and they also support Multimedia Card (MMC), Secure Digital (SD), xD-Picture CardT (xD), Memory Stick PROT (MS PRO) & Memory StickR (MS).

Acer claims that while the Acer Aspire L5100 is 1/10th the size, Acer Aspire L3600 is 1/4th the weight of a conventional tower desktop.

Few other features of the Aspire L5100 and Aspire L3600 desktops are Linux Operating system, USB stereo 2.0 Speakers, an optical mouse and super slim keyboard with soft-touch keys and blue LED lighting along with 17 hotkeys and a volume knob.

The Acer Aspire L5100 and Acer Aspire L3600 desktops will be available in the Indian market for Rs. 24,999 and Rs. 26,999 respectively.
