Samsung has showcased its 82-inch LCD TV panel at the Society for Information Display (SID) International Symposium. The massive LCD TV features an ultra-definition (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) resolution at a 120Hz refresh rate.

Furthermore, Samsung claims that 82-inch TV displays ultra-definition (UD) resolution at 120 frames per second and reduces the blurring which is usually experienced at 60Hz.

“This 82-inch LCD is large enough to cover all viewing angles with ultra-definition resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate that will allow viewers to watch motion pictures as if they are really in them,” said Sang Soo Kim, executive vice president of the LCD Technology Center at Samsung Electronics. “It is the optimal display for future TVs.”

The TV is also equipped with LED backlight in red/green/blue colors which raise true color saturation to 150 percent.

Samsung has not disclosed the availability and price information of this massive 82-inch LCD TV.
