LG GGW-H20L World’s Fastest Blue Ray Writer launched in India

LG GGW-H20L Blue Ray Writer LG Electronics has announced the launch of the world’s fastest Blu-ray Writer in India! The LG Blue Ray Writer is able to write on Blu-ray Discs at a maximum speed of 6x.

This IDE device carries the model number GGW-H20L and is meant to be mounted on a desktop PC.

In case you haven’t been initiated into the Blu-ray bandwagon, a double layer Blu-ray Disc (BD) can store up to 50GB of data, compared to a normal CD which is able to store a measly 700MB. In simple words, one can store up to 73 CDs on a single Blu-ray disc, or around 35 Bollywood movies! Besides entertainment purposes, small companies could also uses BDs to take backups of their data.

Mr. R Manikandan, Business Group Head, IT Division, LGEIL commented on the launch saying, “By launching this world’s fastest Blue Ray writer with a 6x max write speed, LG again leads the pack. LG’s fastest Blue Ray Writer Disc Writer GGW-H20L with IDE interface for PCs is immediately available in India for a price of Rs.29,990 (including taxes).
