Transcend has introduced StoreJet 25 mobile, an all-new shock-resistant high capacity portable hard drive. Beneath the tough shockproof silicone outer case lies a high-capacity hard drive that allows users to backup and store up to 250GB of data.

Now be assured that you may do just about the meanest things to your hard drive, but yet neither would the data be lost, nor will the drive be damaged. Guarding the data from any kind of loss or damage from accidental slips or falls, the Transcend StoreJet 25 mobile meets U.S. military drop-test standards (MIL-STD-810F – Transit Drop) with advanced two-stage anti-shock technology. Guess there wouldn’t be a more safe and secured place for your data.

Transcend’s ultra-portable StoreJet 25 mobile makes use of a high-speed USB 2.0 interface, which offers data transfer rates up to 480Mb per second while offering the convenience of plug and play.

Compatible with Windows 2000 / XP / Vista, Mac OS 9.0 or later, and Linux Kernel 2.4.2 or later, the hard drive comes in two capacities namely 160GB and 250GB.

The 160GB Transcend StoreJet 25 mobile hard drive comes at a recommended pre-tax list price of US$135 and the 250GB comes for US$196. No availability details are known as of now.
