Logitech has unveiled two new PC headsets which make PC-Internet calling via Skype, listening to music and gaming a much more comfortable experience. They are the Logitech ClearChat Pro USB and the Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB.

According to Gina Clark, general manager and vice president of Logitech’s Internet Communications business unit, “The PC is now the hub around which people entertain themselves and communicate with their family, friends and colleagues. But many people are frustrated by the lack of comfortable PC headsets and poor audio quality. We’re confident the ClearChat Pro and the ClearChat Comfort USB headsets will enhance the full range of PC applications that benefit from a premium headset experience.”

Both these headsets connect to the PC through a USB port and produce high-quality digital audio that is independent of the quality of the computer’s sound card.

Also, according to the company, both headsets work with popular PC Internet calling applications like Skype, Windows Live, Yahoo! and AIM.

Logitech ClearChat Pro USB:

The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset features proprietary laser-tuned audio drivers, and the Logitech SoundSwitch equalizer, which is a headset-based switch that instantly optimizes audio performance for PC-Internet calling, listening to music and gaming. For instance the PC-calling mode accentuates the human voice; the music mode provides w ell-balanced sound for PC playlists and Internet radio; and the gaming mode enhances gaming audio increasing the level of realism.

Another great feature of the Logitech ClearChat Pro headset is that the Volume and Mute controls are conveniently located on the headset itself. Also, the headset features an adjustable noise-canceling microphone with a flexible boom that easily adjusts to the desired distance of the user’s mouth. The microphone boom also emits a soft, red glow when muted so users can be confident that nobody else hears them speaking.

The Logitech ClearChat Pro USB headset will be available in the US in September and in Europe in October for a price of $49.99.

Logitech ClearChat Comfort headset:

The ClearChat Comfort USB headset from Logitech features a padded headband and plush ear pads. Besides, the headband and the microphone are easily adjustable as per each individual user. This headset is also equipped with in-line volume and mute controls.

The Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB headset from Logitech will be available in the US in September 2007 and in Europe in October 2007 for a price of $39.99.
