ASUS Xonar D2 7.1 Sound Card debuts, marking the Company’s First Sound Product

ASUS has announced the very first sound product of its brand new product line. Any guesses? Well, it’s the ASUS Xonar D2 7.1-channel audio card. This breakthrough audio card is based on the AV200 audio chip.
The ASUS Xonar D2 7.1-channe; audio card provides uncompromised sound quality on the PC platform. It also integrates multiple sound-enhancing technologies from Dolby and DTS and this helps to transform almost any PC into a high-quality digital home media center.
The ASUS Xonar D2 sound card features a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 118db for audio input as well as output and across all 7.1 channels.
The ASUS Xonar D2 sound card is also packed with a host of sound technologies form Dolby and DTS, delivering outstanding entertainment experiences to users.
Some of the technologies include Dolby Digital Live, which converts PC game audio content real-time into Dolby Digital. Then, there is Dolby Headphone which creates an entertaining surround sound listening experience using any set of headphones.
Yet another feature is the Dolby Virtual Speaker, which delivers a vibrant sound listening experience from stereo speakers; and the Dolby pro Logic IIx which creates up to 7.1-channel surround from stereo or 5.1 sources as well as DTS Interactive for real-time AC-3 encoding and DTS NEP: PC stereo to multi-channel expander.
The ASUS Xonar D2 Sound card also comes with a special application called “Portable Media Processor”, which works with the onboard ALT (Analog Loopback Transformation) circuit, providing almost lossless analog recording audio quality from digital music files.

I just buy edifier C3 speaker and i would like to buy this sound card on next month. I wonder if this sound card can make sound from my speaker more powerful or not . Edifier C3 is 2.1. Can anyone answer my question?
