Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro for Notebooks

Logitech has unveiled two new Web cams for laptops that feature lenses by Carl Zeiss. They are the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and the Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks. In fact, these two new Web cams benefit from the exclusive collaboration between Logitech and Carl Zeiss.

According to Dr.Winfried Scherle, vice president and general manager of Carl Zeiss’s Camera Lens Division, “We are excited to join forces with Logitech and to expand our reach into this interesting market. The new webcams announced today are just a preview of the advancements in image quality that we anticipate from this collaboration.”

And it doesn’t end at the Carl Zeiss lenses for the new Logitech Webcams. The QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro for Notebooks webcams also use a premium autofocus system which helps to deliver fast and fluid focusing, eliminating the inconvenience of manual focusing.

Both the QuickCam Pro 9000 and the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks webcams worls seamlessly with popular video messaging applications like Skype, Windows Live Messenger, AIM and Yahoo Messenger.

The new QuickCam Pro 9000 and QuickCam Pro for Notebooks webcams are able to record video at up to 30 frames per second, delivering a high-definition video capture. Also, both these webcams support the 720p HD video format and record to disc at a resolution of 960 by 720 pixels.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 and the Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks webcams feature a 2 mega pixel sensor that is able to capture up to eight mega pixel photos as well as RightSound and RightLight 2 Technology.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam comes with a flexible universal base, allowing it to rest easily on just about any monitor.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks also includes a stylish stand that can sit on a desktop to raise the webcam to eye level. What’s more, especially for professionals who are always on the move, this webcam comes bundled with a protective travel case and an adjustable, spring-tension clip that accommodates even large laptops with panels that are up to 20mm thick.

The Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 webcam and the QuickCam Pro for Notebooks webcams are slated to be available in the US and Europe in July 2007 and will each carry a price of $99.99.
