ViewSonic's New Projectors

ViewSonic has introduced four new projector models in India. Dubbed PJ506D, PJ556D, PJ588D and PJ358, the latest projectors are apt for a variety of situations and presentations, from entertainment needs of offices, classrooms, homes and religious sanctuaries; they are perfect for all.

Speaking about the latest launch, Alan Chang, the managing director of ViewSonic Asia Pacific Region said, “As ViewSonic rolls out new offerings for the home entertainment market, we’re also maintaining our focus on business and education applications.” Continuing, “From fully featured, ceiling-mounted projectors for university lecture halls, to portable projectors for corporate road warriors, ViewSonic is continuing to deliver innovative display products for many applications.”

The ViewSonic PJ506D and PJ556D projectors are ideally suited to companies that are in need of excellent performance with a stipulated budget, thereby managing the requirements of the office and suiting the pocket too. Featuring plug-n-play design, the two projectors are simple to install and use. The 2000 lumen models PJ506 and PJ556D include an 800×600 SVGA and 1024×768 XGA of native resolution, respectively. The projectors have the ability to generate bright images and clear video, along with an ECO mode, which increases the bulb life and cuts down the voice disturbances at the time of presentations. PJ506 and PJ556D are priced at Rs. 45,999 and Rs. 61,999 (excl. taxes) respectively.

Next is the ViewSonic PJ588D projector, which is a DLP model that incorporates 3,000 lumens of brightness and a 2100:1 contrast ratio that has the ability to display crisp, detailed animated presentations or video conference calls at a 1024×768 XGA native resolution. The projector supports multiple inputs, including RBG, composite and S-Video, and also has the ability to display video sources on a remote monitor to allow presenters to see what is being projected on the screen behind them. Further more, users can unplug the PJ588D at the end of the presentation, which helps in saving valuable “cool down” time without risking damage to the bulb. PJ588D’s feature set also includes a “daylight” mode; an in-built light sensor that detects lighting conditions and automatically corrects picture settings to deliver optimum image quality in any setting; an Eco mode that can extend the life of the bulb up to 4,000 hours; and improved security features to prevent unauthorized usage and theft. The PJ558D projector costs Rs. 78,999 (excl taxes).

And finally the last one in amongst the new launches is the ViewSonic PJ358 LCD projector that is perfect for mobile workers or businesses looking out for a versatile, portable projector. Featuring 2,200 lumens of brightness and a 1024×768 XGA resolution, the sleek, compact device weighs below 4 pounds. The PJ358 includes outstanding versatility, has a USB port through which users can present images such as JPG and M-JPG directly from a USB flash drive, doing away with the need to travel with a PC. In addition, it can also project a 60-inch screen image from less than five feet away, allowing users to present big ideas in small rooms. Finally with a remote control, whisper mode, security features and auto-keystone correction for easy set-up, the PJ358 make it ideal to suit a range of business requirements. PJ358 is available for Rs. 62,999 (excl. taxes)

Further more, the ViewSonic PJ506D, PJ556D and PJ588D projectors also include Texas Instrument’s DLP technology, an industry leading display capability with other innovative features.

“This new projector range has been launched by ViewSonic to serve the need of diverse applications like presentations, movies, gaming etc for the benefit of the Indian users. We will continue delivering on our commitment by bringing efficient projector options to serve the growing needs of Indian multinationals,” said Gautam Ghosh, Country Manager, India, ViewSonic Technologies.

The entire ViewSonic projector range is currently distributed by Redington India across the country.
