ASUS WL-600g Wireless Solution Yesterday, ASUS, the leading provider of high-performance wireless solutions unveiled an all-in-one device called the WL-600g in India. The WL-600g device incorporates an ADSL modem, a wireless router, and ftp/printer server functions.

Using the ASUS WL-600g solution, there won’t be any need for a separate ADSL model or a standalone ftp/print server for that matter. Since the ASUS WL-600g is an UPnP IGD compliant device, it allows devices within the WLAN to share the same IP address and simultaneously play online games and use IP phones as well.

The ASUS WL-600g wireless solution offers a Quick Setup feature, which automatically detects local ADSL ISP setting almost instantly. Thus without the hassles of complicated configurations, one can connect to the Internet using a quick connection.

The ASUS WL-600g wireless solution offers a range of Plug-n’-Share functions. So, you will be able to plug in hard drives and even printers via the USB 2.0 host ports to enable other devices in the network to share their functions, eliminating the need for the PC to remain switched on throughout the day.

What’s more a Plug-n’-Share hard drive also acts as an ftp server, which enables users to backup data from their computers and use network neighborhood in Windows to browse external hard drive content.

Yet another innovative feature on the ASUS WL-600g wireless solution is called Game Blaster, which intelligently optimizes network resources and prioritizes bandwidth for online gaming applications to eliminate action latency when users are playing online.

Besides, the WL-600g device also enables customized allocation of bandwidth to execute time-sensitive applications such as IP phone and multimedia applications in a better manner.

Another feature of the ASUS WL-600g wireless solution is the Wireless Distribution System (WDS) which allows users to establish a broad wireless network infrastructure by linking several wireless access points with WDS links.
