Acer has just unveiled the Acer X-Series range of media-friendly high quality LCD monitors aimed at the consumer and SoHo market segments. These LCD monitors are perfect for multimedia, gaming and video applications.

The Acer X-Series has been designed with two different concepts namely the X1 Series, which has been dedicated to data or media users; and the X2 Series which has been dedicated to users who appreciate style and fancy design.

The Acer X1 Series offers a superior contrast ratio and fast response time. The Acer LCD monitors are housed in a slim and attractive aluminum alloy case.

The versatile X1 Series offers high versatility throughout the range coming with 19”, 20”, 22” and 24” wide formats plus the square-sized 17” 19” 20” 4:3 formats. Designed for SoHo and Digital Home users looking for a slim and compact display for the home or office, the X1-Series combines attractive design with solid performance: 5ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio and compatibility with both PC and Macintosh Operating Systems. For digital video signals, the X1-series can be optionally equipped with the digital DVI port.

The Acer X2 Series is available in a stylish design with a black glossy finish. These LCD monitors feature high performance panel technologies with enhanced graphic capabilities.

The X2-Series offers an as optional feature the DVI input port for receiving uncompressed high definition signals from either a PC or a HD-TV source, or any DVI-based device. The X2-Series X222W panel also supports HDCP, an encoding standard that delivers perfect reproduction of High-definition content. Without HDCP, HD signals are converted to standard resolution (480i) with a substantial loss of pixel density.

The Acer X-Series LCD Monitor is equipped with Acer CrystalBrite, a proprietary screen technology that delivers enhanced color saturation, higher image sharpness and superior contrast ratio.

Acer has certified that the newly introduced X-Series will provide the best visual experience using the Vista operating system.

The X-Series monitors from Acer also feature a specialized technology called eColor Management, which is an advanced monitor solution that adapts the performance of the LCD panel to different environments, lighting conditions and viewing preferences.

Acer eColor Management optimizes the image for an enhanced front-of-screen performance, with a host of user-selected scenarios such as:

Standard Mode: Normal settings for medium-level display performance

Text Mode: Suited for on-screen viewing of documents and spreadsheets.

Graphics Mode: Delivers optimal quality for colorful static images

User Mode: Lets the user fine-tune basic settings and personalize their viewing experience

Both the Acer X1 and X2 Series of LCD monitors come with a two-year warranty.
