Hewlett Packard (HP) has launched a plethora of new gizmos. Nine cameras, two versatile single-function Photosmart printers and an all-in-one Photosmart printer come as a cool wind to beat the heat this year.

HP’s new imaging and printing products include several exciting and essential features

Speaking on the launch, Dan Gilbert, vice president of marketing, Digital Photography and Entertainment, HP said, “Summer brings not only warmer weather, but family vacations, backyard get-togethers and plenty of other occasions where memories can be captured.” Gilbert continued, “HP’s latest digital cameras and printers are not only easy to use, but also empower people to customize and share their photos, their way.”

Touchscreen technology

8-megapixel camera

3.6-inch Auto-bright touchscreen display for editing and organizing photos directly on the camera

Included within the touchscreen is a Microsoft Windows Vista-compatible tagging feature and a virtual keyboard, making photo organization and management quick and easy once the camera is connected to a PC

Latest generation of HP Design Gallery, which includes the popular slimming feature that can take up to 10 pounds off photographed subjects, HP pet-eye fix to correct glowing pet eyes and HP touch-up technology for removal of marks

Apart from the above mentioned, the other one is the HP Photosmart R742 Digital Camera that is available in a range of colors, including silver black and dark blue. The other six HP digital cameras feature industry-leading in-camera red-eye removal, HP steady photo anti-shake mode, HP Design Gallery, HP Photosmart software and Vista compatibility, making it easy to edit, share and manage photos. They all are affordably priced at about $79.

Excluding the thin and lightweight, 5-megapixel HP Photosmart E337 Digital Camera, which is slated for July availability, the other eight are scheduled to hit stores in August.
