Taiwan-based Genius has just announced the launch of their latest iPod speaker, the iTempo 800 in the India. This speaker built exclusively for iPods has built-in DRD sound effect technology.

The built-in DRD technology controls bass equalizers and delivers good sound quality as well. Genius also claims that the DRD technology reproduces superior quality sound without distorting middle tones.

The Genius iTempo 800 iPod speaker comes bundled with an embedded iPod dock station. The package also includes five different cradles for different types of iPods.

However, the only iPod which is not compatible with the iTemp 800 iPod speaker is the iPod Shuffle.

The Genius iTempo 800 iPod speaker integrates custom-designed 70mm drivers and sound effect solutions. It thus has the capacity to deliver powerful, room-filling sound and can even create quality bass without the presence of a subwoofer.

What’s more, the iTempo 800 speaker also includes an S-Video connector that enables users to connect their TV or monitor when transferring a video or photo from iPods.

Besides, users can also connect their iTempo 800 speaker with other audio devices like CD players, MP3 players and even laptops using the secondary AUX input jack.

Using the USB cable that is provided along with the iTempo 800 speaker, it becomes easy to download music via the PC directly even while the iPod is charging.

The Genius iTempo 800 package also includes a universal power adaptor and a wireless remote.

According to Sandeep Ramani, country manager of KYE Systems India, “the iTempo 800 will provide true digital audio sound. It is the ideal choice to turn an iPod into a mini-stereo system, and is going to take the market by storm, especially with the younger crowd.”
