Lenovo rolls out Exclusive Service Centres across India

India map and Lenovo logo In a move to deliver high quality service to its customer-base, PC-maker Lenovo has introduced special service centers across India. As of now, three Lenovo Service Centres are already set in Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai. And by December, 2007, Lenovo plans to extend the network to 13 more cities.

Sudhir Puthran, Director, Service and Support, Lenovo India maintained, “The launch of our exclusive Lenovo Service Centres is another significant step towards understanding our consumers better and providing them with a consistent experience of high-quality service and support.”

This is Lenovo’s second service centre, the first one being in China. The Lenovo Service Centres offers post-sales product support for Lenovo’s consumer range - Lenovo 3000 Q and H Series desktops and Lenovo 3000 Y Series notebooks. At these new centres, consumers will benefit with a better turnaround time for post-sale support requirements, apart from high standards in quality of service, reliable processes and a uniform user experience at the Lenovo Service Centres.

In addition, Lenovo also in the works of launching Lenovo Xpress Service, a mobile facility where products are apparently picked up from resellers and are offered with replacements at the earliest. Lenovo Xpress Service will be introduced in 8 cities across India, by December, 2007.

The Lenovo Service Centres will primarily be Business Partner-owned and supported by Lenovo’s Services Protection. At present Lenovo provides service and support in 94 cities for its consumer PC range in India through its franchisee service model.

Lenovo has initiated three consumer spares warehouses at Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata, along with its current warehouse in Bangalore, to tackle spares requirements quicker. Customer requirements will now be addressed by warehouses directly in North, East, West and South India.
