70-inch Samsung LN70F91BD LCD HDTV introduced
Samsung Electronics has just launched the largest full high-definition LCD TV in Korea. This Full-HD LCD TV breaks the record at a humongous 70-inches, and has been dubbed as the ‘LN70F91BD’. Interestingly, this masterpiece has just been introduced in the Indian market as well, providing a treat to movie lovers.
According to JongWoo Park, President of the Digital Media Business, Samsung Electronics, “I am pleased to introduce the 70” Full-HD LCD TV with innovative Local Dimming Technology. Samsung will continue to strengthen its LCD TV leadership, enhancing Full-HD and large screen LCD TV line-up.”
The 70-inch Samsung LCD TV is equipped with an LED backlight, shoving the age-old cold cathode fluorescent lamp (CCFL) version in the dark.
The presence of the LED in the Samsung LN70F91BD LCD provides a contrast ratio of 500,000:1. This contrast ratio is complemented by Samsung’s unique local dimming technology. Moreover, the LED helps to lower power consumption by approximately 50%.
The 70-inch Samsung HDTV sports dual hidden speakers as well as a rear woofer that emits a rich sound quality.
Plus, the TV intuitively senses the TV signal and adjusts the brightness level by turning on and off the right combination of the backlight units.
The design of the Samsung LN70F91BD High Definition LCD TV has a piano black bezel with titanium chrome trim finish, lending it a very sophisticated look.

Besides, Samsung has also announced a wide range of LCD TVs that comprises 12 LCD models ranging from 19-inches to 70-inches and which cost between Rs.21,000 to Rs.24 lakhs.
Surely the enormous 70-inch Samsung LN70F91BD LCD TV would be targeted at high-end consumers as it carries a price tag of Rs.24 lakhs in India.
