Lenovo's ThinkCentre A61e Blue Sky Desktop

Lenovo has introduced ‘ThinkCentre A61e’ the new Blue Sky Desktop computer. Touted as the smallest and most energy-efficient desktop PC, the A61e can be powered by a solar panel.

25 percent smaller than the previous Lenovo ThinkCentre desktops, the A61e operates on 45 watts of power.

It runs on either the AMD Athlon 64×2 dual-core processor or the AMD Sempron processor. So u can take your pick!

It comes packed with Windows Vista Business or Windows XP Professional operating system. The A61e includes a 4GB memory and an ultra-slim HDD ranging from 80GB to 750GB. It also has a low-speed fan for quiet operation.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre A61e has the distinction of being the very first product to attain a Gold EPEAT rating from the Green Electronic Council for its energy efficiency and recyclable materials. It has made use of up to 90 percent of reusable or recyclable materials.

The company expects the 8 lbs. weighted Blue Sky to do best in the small business, education, medical and financial sectors, where desktop space is limited.

Available directly from Lenovo itself, the ThinkCentre A61e Blue Sky will hit shelves in October for $399. Mouse and keyboard cost extra.
