SiS displays its Innovations at the SiS Sports Center at Computex 2007
On June 5, leading chip innovator SiS, showed off its latest innovations at Computex in Taiwan.
At the event, SiS displayed a rich category of its products including core-logic chipsets for desktop PCs and Notebook PCs, DRAM modules, Chipsets, multimedia center applications, latest chipsets for motherboards and communication network applications. All these innovations were showcased at the SiS sports center at Computex 2007.
Sis’s latest DDR3 memory technology was unveiled for the first time at Computex 2007. Comparing the DDR3-1333 module with the DDR2-800, the average power consumption drops by 40 percent. As more and more consumers request higher memory speed, DDR3-1333 is expected to take over the mainstream market in the following years.
Another highlight at the SiS sports center was the 1GB DDR2-667 fully buffered DIMM, which aims to be perfectly compatible for server usage.
The high performance SiS672FX and the SiS671FX chipsets that are designed to be fully compatible with Windows Vista were also demonstrated live at the SiS Booth.
The mobile solution section had the Fujitsu Siemen’s SiSM672-based notebook and the Clevo’s SiSM671-based notebook with Windows Vista support on display.
In the SiS Media Center, the Xbox 360 gaming console, Shuttle’s XPC, Fujitsu Siemens’ mobile PC, Skype phones, DVD players and a broadband/ADSL modem were on display.
