SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter SanDisk has just launched its Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter that offers fast transfer speeds from memory cards to notebooks, eliminating the need to carry cables or external card readers.

The new SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter fits perfectly into the ExpressCard slot that can be found in most of the newer notebooks.

This adapter accepts six card formats namely SD, SDHC, MultiMediaCard, MMCplus, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick PRO Duo and Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo.

In fact, the SanDisk Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter is an easy system upgrade for notebooks without embedded memory card slots. Users just need to pop the card into the ExpressCard slot, and without any need for any hardware, external cables or to install software, one is able to transfer data.

When transferring data, users need to simply take a memory card out of the device such as a digital camera (still or video), an MP3 player, portable game player or mobile phone and insert the card into the SanDisk adapter.

SanDisk said even for notebooks with embedded memory card slots, its Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter can be useful. Embedded slots today don’t always support the new SD High Capacity (SDHC) format or the Memory Stick PRO Duo form factor, requiring users to carry an external reader. SanDisk’s new adapter offers native SDHC and Memory Stick PRO Duo support.

SanDisk’s Multi Card ExpressCard Adapter is scheduled to be available in North America and Europe this month in September. The adapter will carry a reasonable price of $29.99 in the US.
