DG2L Low-cost N100 Set Top Box introduced in India
DG2L Technologies has announced the launch of the N100 entry-level Set Top Box in India. This STB, which can be customized and used for Cable, Satellite, IPTV as well as Terrestrial networks, offers a host of superior features at a great price.
According to Mr. Ankur Sheth, CEO, DG2L Technologies, “CEO, DG2L Technologies* adds, “With the ever-increase number of pay-TV subscribers we are really pleased to offer our STBs at such a competitive price and provide customer specific customization right in their backyard.”
The DG2L N100 Set Top Box is perfect for entry-level applications such as free-to-air and pay television as it supports all DVB/MPEG-2 compliant transmissions. It also delivers excellent performance due to its 32-bit MIPS CPU.
Moreover, a dedicated transport RISC-based demultiplexer engine and DVB descrambler meet most of the DVB pay-TV specifications, leaving the CPU free to handle other tasks.
“Since our development center is in Pune, India, the customers will benefit from quicker turn around times and a robust support structure,” added Sheth.
The entry-level, low-cost and high-quality DG2L N100 Set Top Box is priced at $35 (approx. Rs.1500).
