Toshiba Introduces 2 GB miniSD Memory Card catering primarily to Mobile Devices

Toshiba logo High technology electrical and electronics manufacturing firm Toshiba Corp. has launched a 2 GB capacity card, thus increasing its already huge family of miniSD memory cards. The new Toshiba-branded miniSD will be unveiled worldwide by mid June 2006.

The Toshiba miniSD memory card offers all of the benefits of a standard SD card, but in a much smaller size. In fact, it is over 60% smaller than a full-sized SD card.

Toshiba 2 GB MiniSD Card being inserted in a Mobile Phone, Toshiba said the primary application of its miniSD card is in mobile devices with miniSD slots; however it can also be used in standard SD slots with an adapter.

With the addition of the new 2 GB miniSD card, Toshiba will strengthen a product line-up that already extends up to 1 GB.
