GIGABYTE Technology Co. Ltd. has unveiled a new addition to the DS series, the GA-965P-DS3 motherboard based on the latest Intel P965 Express chipset with support for the energy efficient Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It has been designed using Conductive Polymer Aluminum Solid Capacitors, the motherboard provides enhanced durability to ensure longer system operation and added system stability under extreme conditions.

The Gigabyte-965P-DS3 allows mainstream users to take advantage of the over clocking and performance features usually reserved for high-end motherboards and comes equipped with a set of over clocking BIOS options and the user-friendly software tools EasyTune5 and M.I.T to allow even novice users the ability to easily enable the highest levels of performance from their systems.

The Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 features the Intel ICH8 Southbridge, the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 supports up to six SATA 3 Gbps devices including support for eSATA, delivering external storage performance of up to 37 times that of traditional USB or 1394. Providing a complete storage solution with Gigabyte SATA2 and PATA controllers to increase fault tolerance, improve data access performance and provide an additional interface for more IDE devices, the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 further ensures important data is protected with support for RAID 0, 1, 0+1 and JBOD.

The Speed feature of GA965P-DS3 delivers outstanding performance and overclocking ability to the desktop platform. This feature provides intelligent overclocking with a wide range of frequency tuning for CPU/MEMORY/PCI-E bus speed and over-voltage with flexible voltage setting for CPU/ Memory/ PCI-E/Chipset. The GA-965P-DS3 also features a complete range of performance tuning tools, such as C.I.A.2, BIOS Setting Recovery and the latest Easy Tune 5.
