The Upravlator unveiled by Art Lebedev
Art Lebedev, the brains behind the super cool Optimus OLED keyboard have developed yet another concept device called ‘The Upravaltor’.
The Upravlator takes the 3 button Optimus Mini to the next level offering 12 buttons.
The Upravlator concept is only cool the first 5 seconds, after which a conventional touch screen with some Flash application does the same thing. The virtual buttons perform each task. Quality M3 MicroTouch screens sell for about $600.
It seems the final Optimus keyboard is actually going to use 32×32px LCDs. Pre-orders for the big Optimus keyboard should begin by around December 2006 with shipping date post Spring 2007.
