As Apple launched its new range of iPods, it got Viewsonic’s amazing widescreen monitors complete with docks, to complement them.

It’s the pioneering monitor with “Made for iPod” certification from Apple, and should at least cut down on the clutter surrounding most PC desktops. The ViewDock displays are designed to “enhance your digital lifestyle through iPod viewing experiences that are more than 65 times larger than your iPod screen.”

The screens come in 19-inch and 22-inch versions, and are packed with USB ports aswell, alongwith a 8-in-1 card reader. The monitor also has an integrated microphone and stereo speakers.

ViewSonic has also packed in a subwoofer too, making this one of the most complete display and audio systems ever developed.

The displays feature “excellent front-of-screen performance, including ultra-fast response times, high brightness and contrast ratios, as well as wide viewing angles for getting the most out of fast action games, and downloaded video content and full-length movies,” according to Jeff Volpe of ViewSonic Americas.

But you’ve got to wait to get one for yourself. The ViewSonic ViewDock displays are due later this year, and pricing hasn’t been announced.
