Optimus Keyboard Russia’s Art Lebedev Studio is geared to execute its plan of launching their new buzz-crazy Optimus Keyboard on February 1st.

lebedev keyboard In the Optimus Keyboard the device’s keys light up to indicate each associated function. There’s an exclusive bank of keys on the left for switching applications and modes, and the keys in the regular QWERTY bank can change to display any number of languages as well as numbers, symbols HTML codes and mathematical functions. What’s more…each key has a customisable mini OLED display that enables the user you to tailor the layout with color graphics, if you’d like — so that it’s optimised for use with different applications.

The Art Lebedov Studio is a little indirect about what exactly they’re introducing their site now says “Good Things Come in Small Packages February 1, 2006.

Wonder if they’ll be able to pull it off (at a price that real people can afford), but we all will be yet eager to see it if not own one.
