Asus GigaX1105N AsusTeK Computer Inc. has launched the GigaX1105N 5-port and GigaX1108N 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switches. Stylishly designed with advanced features, the switches are said to enhance networking performance of standard Gigabit solutions by 30%.

The GigaX1105N and GigaX1108N switches deliver improved performance, allowing them to handle multimedia, video streaming and real-time broadcast applications with effortlessly.

The Asus Ethernet switches also come equipped with integrated internal universal power supplies, which do away with the hassles caused by carrying a bulky adaptor around or even misplacing it.

All ports on the GigaX1105N/1108N have automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover detection; therefore users no longer have to worry about cable types. Each port independently and automatically settles for best speed and duplex mode for designated network.

The ASUS switches support 802.3x flow control with head-of-line blocking prevention to avoid high-speed clients from bogging down in lower-speed traffic. Competent store-and-forward mode of switching guarantees the quality of the data packets being passed onto the network. The plug-and-play nature of the switches also allows immediate function usage by simply attaching the cables and turning on the power.

The compact and fanless design of the switches is perfect for environments with limited space and users that demand peace and quiet. The switches provide error diagnosis features that monitor system status and trouble shoots on the network.
