ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 Series now embedded in Notebooks
ATI Technologies Inc. has unveiled its Mobility Radeon X1800 series. In the present day graphically exhaustive games, such as Shader Model 3.0, the highly enhanced Mobility Radeon X1800 XT is taking the lead in the notebook gaming segment by becoming the world’s fastest gaming performer. Mobility Radeon X1800 closely follows it.
Bringing the performance of the Radeon X1800 series to the “enthusiast-class” notebook, ATI said the Mobility Radeon X1800 series rages through 3D games and multimedia applications like no other notebook graphics solution in the present day market.
“Mobility Radeon X1800 XT is a gamer’s dream. This card delivers on every count, it’s blistering fast,” said Nick Boardman, CEO. “We are thrilled to be the first to market with Mobility Radeon X1800 XT in our Xtreme CTX notebook and giving our customers a new way to experience the next generation of shader-intensive games and high definition visuals.”
Mobility Radeon X1800 series will take notebooks from industry partners such as Alienware, Boxx, Eurocom, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Hypersonic, rock, Savrow and Voodoo PC.
David Cummings, Director of ATI’s Mobile Business Unit said, “The fact that ATI has had over 70% of the mobile discrete market share for 11 consecutive quarters reflects our commitment to pushing the mobile technology envelope.” He added, “Being a leader is more than just about having the fastest graphics. It’s about delivering advanced performance features that are unique to ATI such as our ability to support high dynamic range rendering with anti-aliasing at the same time in our Mobility Radeon X1800 series of graphics processors.”
