Fujitsu Turn Table PC

After unveiling its paper-thin e-Book reader at Ceatec tech fair in Tokyo, Fujitsu has now demonstrated its Turn Table PC a prototype of a combo system from Fujitsu that can serve as a notebook or as a digital turntable.

The Turn Table PC has a 20-inch LCD screen that can be folded closed to use the turntable function. Users control the turntable by a touch screen on the outside of the notebook’s lid. The keyboard and trackpad have a cool white glow around them. It comes with virtual 5.1 channel surround sound and the front flip of the LCD has a design which depicts the DJ’s turntable which is like a huge iPod click wheel. It also has dedicated MP3 player controls and a tiny display which displays the track information on the front flip so you control the music player without opening up the notebook.

Fijutsu Ultra Mobile Also in the future tech department, Fujistu showed the Ultra Mobile, a handheld computer with a touch screen that includes a built-in digital camera, a digital music player, and support for wireless Internet access. The same size as a CD jewel case, the Ultra Mobile uses a unique method to turn the system on and off: users rotate the front half of the machine–including the screen–45 degrees, changing the computer’s shape from a square to a star.
