4GB SD High Capacity Memory Card introduced by PNY Technologies

PNY 4GB SDHC Card PNY Technologies, manufacturers of memory products has launched a 4GB SD High Capacity card (SDHC). In recent times, almost all gadgets are SD compliant, and this seems to be the new trend. As a result consumers have been demanding multimedia devices with external, high-performance storage capabilities. This is where PNY comes in the picture.

The new PNY 4GB SD card is based on the Secure Digital Association’s specification version 2.00. The PNY SD card can cope with a host of storage-intense applications including high-resolution digital images, HD video recording as well as playback.

The SDHC 4GB card from PNY offers a huge storage capacity, allowing users to save more than 1000 pictures in high resolution and around 1 hour and 30 minutes of video MPED2 DVD 4MB/s.

PNY’s 4GB SD high capacity card is compatible with the SD speed class rating specification created by the SD association, which introduced the world to a new speed classification based o the application:

  • Class 2 : >=2MB/s TV recording / DVD/ standard DC
  • Class 4 : >=4MB/s Mpeg2 (HDTV)/ DC with continuous shooting option
  • Class 6 : >=6MB/s Reflex DC and professional DC – on continuous shooting
  • In order to check whether a device is SDHC compatible, users need to check the manufacturer’s documentation. In fact, only the most up to date devices will be SDHC compliant. The high Capacity compatibility of a device will be highlighted on packaging and documentation.

    The PNY 4GB SDHC memory card will sell for a price of £41.00.
