Epson Perfection V10 Epson has launched Perfection V10 scanner, which the company says is poised to be the ideal desktop companion for all home scanning needs.Weighing 2.2 kilograms and measuring 41mm in height, the Epson Perfection V10 is the slimmest matrix CCD scanner in Epson’s full range of home and professional scanners. Its slimness belies its capability in breezing through all common scanning tasks. Sporting a stylish silver casing, the diminutive scanner features optical resolution of 3200dpi and 48-bit color depth. Documents, photographs and 3D objects can be scanned and reproduced with amazing clarity and realism.

Using the latest colour restoration technology, one of the enhancement features in the bundled Epson Easy Photo Fix software, faded photographs can be seamlessly restored at the click of a mouse. While the default scanning mode delivers outstanding results, advanced users also have the option of adjusting the appearance of documents and photographs easily.

Also incorporated in the software is Epson’s all-new backlight correction function. This smart new addition analyses the image histogram to identify any backlight conditions in the photograph and corrects the brightness, sharpness, colour saturation and colour balance of the image.
The digital dust correction feature that automatically detects and removes dust specks from scanned photographs has also been improved. Other options include Grain Reduction and De-screening.

The EPSON Perfection V10 also boasts an energy-saving mode, which is self-activated after 15 minutes of inactivity. The scanner can be reactivated by tapping on any one of the four direct access buttons or by launching the Epson Scan software.
