Newton Peripherals has launched the MoGo Mouse BT, a Bluetooth-enabled mouse in the outline of a business card that stores inside a laptop’s PC card slot when not in use. The Consumers Electronics Show, which will be starting this week in Las Vegas, will see the display of the MoGo Mouse BT.

Matthew Westover, Newton Peripherals’ CEO and President said, “I’ve been a road warrior for years. And I’ve always found carrying around a mouse to be a real pain because of its size.” He added, “I’ve always refused to carry an external mouse because I don’t have room in my bag, but the moment I saw the MoGo Mouse BT, I instantly knew it solved my problem and would solve others’ frustrations about using computer mice on the road.”

MoGo Mouse BT is said to include patent-pending optics and a system that automatically levers the mouse up into your hand as you work. With no batteries to replace, the MoGo Mouse BT recharges in less than an hour in the PC card slot of your laptop.

The mouse makes use of the BCM2040 single-chip Bluetooth solution from Broadcom, which incorporates radio, baseband, firmware and several key application-specific electronic components onto a single-chip.

MoGo Mouse BT is ergonomically friendly and intuitive to use, right down to the two indentations on its top that facilitate left- and right-clicking. A “kickstand” locks into place, automatically levering the full-width MoGo Mouse BT into a natural position in the user’s hand, making its operation that much simpler.

MoGo Mouse BT is available for $69.95 through Newton Peripherals’ authorised distributors. It is also available through the company’s worldwide network of channel partners and direct marketers.
