Samsung partners with SK Telecom, unveils Q40-HSDPA and Q1B-HSDPA

Samsung Q40-HSDPA and Q1B-HSDPA

Electronics company Samsung has launched two HSDPA- enabled notebook PC, after penning a significant deal with SK Telecom.

The two models include UMPC (model:Q1B-HSDPA) and sub-notebook pc(model:Q40-HSDPA), and they will offer HSDPA service through ‘T-LOGIN’ of SK Telecom.

The Q40-HSDPA will offer T-Login connectivity throughout South Korea, and will also pack a 12.1-inch WXGA display, Intel’s U1400 Core Solo processor, 1GB of RAM, a smallish 60GB hard drive, and a T-DMB receiver to boot. The machine will weigh in at just 2.6 pounds, and should be hitting the streets of Seoul soon

The Q1B-HSDPA features 7-inch WVGA LCD, 512MB memory, and 40GB HDD at 759g while the Q40-HSDPA has 12.1-inch WXGA LCD, Intel Core processor U1400, 1GB memory, 60GB HDD, and T-DMB receiver at 1.18kg.

Suggesting price is about 1,100,000(Korean Won-VAT included) for Q1B-HSDPA and 2,300,000(Korean Won) for Q40-HSDPA.
